Download and verify your purchase

On the App Store Download Shadowrocket

A paid app with a one-time purchase, available only on the App Store. Verify the app and your account’s storefront before buying. If you’ve already purchased it, check your purchase history first.

  • DeveloperShadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID932747118
  • US reference price$2.99 one-time purchase
  • For iPhone and iPad

Price, system requirements, and purchase eligibility are as listed on the App Store page.

Storefront and account region

Whether Shadowrocket appears in the App Store depends first on the country or region of the Apple ID used for purchases. The app isn’t available on the mainland China App Store. Changing search terms or switching your device language to English won’t change your account’s storefront. Check which account you use for purchases before troubleshooting search results.

The main button on this page links to Shadowrocket’s US App Store product page. Being able to view the page in a browser doesn’t mean your current account can complete a purchase. In the App Store on your device, available actions depend on your account region, device compatibility, and account status. The page shown on your device is the final reference for purchase availability.

How to check your country or region

Open Settings on your device, tap Apple ID, then choose Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. After verifying your account, check the current region. If you need to change it, use the Change Country or Region option on that page. Wording and menu locations can vary slightly across system versions. Follow the account options shown on your device rather than changing your device’s language and region settings.

Changing a region can depend on your account status. You may need to resolve an account balance, active subscriptions, Family Sharing, or payment details first. These steps explain where to check; they don’t guarantee that every account can change regions right away. If you encounter a restriction, follow the account page instructions. Don’t repeatedly attempt a purchase until you’ve confirmed your region and payment details.

If you’ve purchased Shadowrocket before, start with the Restore a purchase section on this page. Check the original purchase record before taking action; seeing a price in the store doesn’t automatically mean you need to buy the app again. This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual. This page explains how to verify the App Store listing and what to check; purchases and installation are handled by the App Store.

Verify the app: check these three details

A similar name or icon in search results isn’t enough to identify the app. Open the product page and check the developer, official icon, and app ID. All three should identify the same Shadowrocket app. Don’t rely on the first search result, an informal name, or a promotional image alone.

Developer

The developer should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Check the full name in the developer or provider details on the product page rather than relying on the app title.

Official icon

Look for a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background, matching the official icon in this site’s header. Check the developer and app ID as well; the icon is only one part of the verification.

App ID

The app ID should be 932747118. The product page URL ends with id932747118. Check the full number rather than relying on the product name in the URL.

If you can’t easily view the product page URL in the App Store on your device, use the share option to view the app link and check its app ID. If the link is displayed in a different format, return to the product page linked from the main button on this page. Don’t infer the app’s identity from the link title or preview text.

If you find an app with the same or a similar name, open its product page and check the developer before proceeding. A name containing Shadowrocket, similar colors, or references to rules in the description don’t verify its identity. If the developer or app ID differs, don’t treat it as the product covered by this manual.

After verifying the app, review the price button, compatibility details, and purchase confirmation. The app name and amount in the confirmation should match the product page you checked. If the amount, currency, or purchase account isn’t what you expected, cancel and check your account settings. Verify the app before paying, not after the transaction.

iPhone: Purchase, installation, and first-time authorization

After verifying the app on your iPhone, check its compatibility in the store before tapping the price button and following the purchase prompts. System requirements are as listed on the App Store page. Don’t assume your iPhone is compatible based on its appearance, purchase year, or whether the app works on another device. If the store says it’s incompatible, address the issue specified on the page first.

Purchase confirmation and app installation are separate steps. After completing the transaction, wait for the App Store to show installation progress, then open Shadowrocket once installation is complete. If progress stalls, check your network, available storage, and whether the store requires account verification. If there’s already a purchase record, check it first rather than paying again to resolve an installation issue.

Before you connect for the first time, prepare your existing configuration

Installing the app doesn’t provide a server connection by itself. Get your subscription link or server details from your service provider, then import them using options such as Subscribe or Add Server in the app. Buying the app, importing a configuration, and enabling a connection are separate steps. If your server details aren’t listed yet, import them first; there’s no need to change Global Routing right away.

The first time you enable a connection, iOS may ask to allow adding a VPN configuration. This is device authorization for network settings. Follow the system prompt and complete verification on your device if required. It’s separate from App Store payment confirmation and doesn’t provide server details. Only proceed with the authorization if you’re using the Shadowrocket app you installed.

If you didn’t complete authorization earlier, return to the app and start the connection again, then follow the system prompt. On managed devices, you may need to resolve restrictions first. Don’t change several settings at once to get past a prompt; doing so makes it harder to tell whether the issue is system authorization, imported details, or your network.

Once your configuration is ready, continue with the Shadowrocket user guide. Select a server, check Global Routing, and test access in order. Handle App Store download and purchase issues in the store. If the app opens but won’t connect, troubleshoot your configuration and connection separately.

iPad: Install using your original purchase

Shadowrocket supports iPhone and iPad. After purchasing on an iPhone with an Apple ID, you can find the app in the App Store and redownload it on a compatible iPad. Universal purchase eligibility and system requirements are as listed on the App Store page. Confirm that you’re using the same purchase account, then follow the options shown in the store.

On your iPad, open the account section of the App Store and check Purchased. You can also open the same product page to see whether it recognizes your existing purchase. If a price still appears, don’t confirm payment yet. Check that the Media & Purchases account matches the one used on the original device, then review that account’s purchase history. The device’s sign-in account and App Store purchase account may differ.

On a larger screen, lists and details may be arranged differently, and the visible area can change between portrait and landscape. This manual identifies steps by labels such as Add Server, Subscribe, and Config rather than relying on fixed button locations. Find the same label in the current interface and continue from there. A different layout doesn’t mean you need to buy another app.

App purchase eligibility and configuration are separate. After installing on iPad, check that your own subscription, server details, and Config are ready. A completed setup on your iPhone doesn’t mean the same content is available on another device. Check your details before importing, then verify the selected server and Global Routing. For configuration organization, see the server management guide.

Compatibility with other Apple devices

The compatibility section of the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. To use Shadowrocket on one of these devices, check the same product page on that device. System requirements, device compatibility, and universal purchase eligibility are as listed on the App Store page. The App Store remains the only place to get the app. Don’t infer purchase eligibility from a device name or assume the iPhone interface works the same way on other devices.

New device or reinstall: restore your purchase first

When switching devices, restore your purchase eligibility first, then restore your own configuration. Open the App Store, go to your account, and find Shadowrocket under Purchased. Depending on your system version, the relevant option may appear under Apps or purchase history; follow the interface shown on your device. Redownload the app. You usually won’t be charged again when you use the original purchase Apple ID.

Using the original purchase account is key. The Apple ID used for system services on your old device may not be the one used to buy the app. Check the old device’s Media & Purchases account and purchase history. If the product page still shows a price, check the current store account, Purchased list, and app identity before accepting a new payment confirmation. Hidden purchases may also affect what appears in the list, so check the relevant account management options.

Restoring the app doesn’t restore its configuration

Redownloading restores the app installation only. Whether your subscription links, server details, and Config return depends on how you backed up or transferred them; purchase eligibility alone doesn’t guarantee that they’re restored. After installing on a new device, check the content in the app. If anything is missing, import your saved configuration or ask your service provider for current details for your existing subscription.

When restoring, import one subscription or group of servers at a time, and confirm it imported correctly before continuing. This makes duplicate entries easier to spot and helps keep expired details separate from your current configuration. Don’t delete your only backup until you’ve confirmed the new device works. Don’t share a complete configuration containing subscription credentials or server authentication details publicly.

If you want to use Family Sharing, check the relevant details on the App Store product page and consider your family settings. Eligibility is as listed on the App Store page. Restoring a purchase with the same Apple ID and purchase benefits for other family members are different things. App updates are also handled through the App Store. Keep a backup of important configuration before updating.

Price and one-time purchase: app cost and service plans are separate

Shadowrocket is a paid, closed-source commercial app sold as a one-time purchase, with no monthly app fee. The US reference price is $2.99; other storefronts show local currency. The actual price, tax presentation, and purchase eligibility are as listed on the App Store page and final purchase confirmation. The reference price on this page may differ from the amount shown at checkout.

A one-time app purchase is not a service plan. Purchasing Shadowrocket gives you a license to use the app, not access to a server. This site doesn’t provide, sell, or recommend servers or subscriptions. Get details for your existing subscription or server from your service provider. After installing the app, import your own valid configuration to try connecting with the relevant settings.

Existing services that renew monthly are separate from the app’s one-time purchase. To identify a charge, check the seller and transaction page, then confirm whether it’s for the app or the term of an existing service. Buying the app once doesn’t mean a subscription server will remain available indefinitely. Likewise, server authentication failures don’t mean your App Store purchase is invalid.

Restoring a purchase usually doesn’t require paying the app fee again, but eligibility must match the original purchase record. Changing devices, reinstalling the app, or changing your configuration doesn’t automatically mean you need to buy the app again. If you have questions about a charge or transaction status, check your App Store purchase history and order status first, then use the purchase support options provided by the system. Don’t try to resolve a billing issue by changing server settings in the app.

After purchasing, use the App Store to check the app’s update history and current compatibility. Automatic updates are controlled by your device’s App Store settings. If your system version changes, check the store’s compatibility details again. Confirming that the app is available is only the first step; connection quality also depends on your existing server, configuration, and current network. Verify each item using the user guide.

First identify where the issue occurs: App Store search, purchase confirmation, installation progress, or configuration after installation.

Can’t find Shadowrocket in the App Store? What to check first

Check the country or region for the Apple ID used under Media & Purchases. Shadowrocket isn’t available on the mainland China App Store; search results depend on the account’s storefront. Check under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. Follow the account page instructions to see whether a change is available.

The product page is visible, but the download won’t complete. What should I do?

Check that you’re signed in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, and look for payment or account verification prompts in the store. Also check device compatibility, your network connection, and available storage. Follow the specific App Store prompts first. There’s no need to change Shadowrocket server or rule settings before the purchase and installation are complete.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall the app?

On the App Store, sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, find Shadowrocket under Account → Purchased, and download it again. You usually won’t be charged again. If a price still appears, check the purchase account and purchase history first. Restoring a purchase doesn’t restore your configuration; you’ll need to restore or import your own subscriptions and server details on the new device.

System requirements, device compatibility, and universal purchase eligibility are all as listed on the App Store page. The App Store remains the place to get the app.

The app opens in English. What should I do?

Follow the labels shown in the app. This official manual keeps interface terms such as Add Server, Subscribe, Config, and Global Routing in English, then explains each step in Chinese.
